Can anyone help me please. I have a basketball themed cake to do for tomorrow. I am going for a basketball court, but I'm not sure how to make the wood grain effect on BC. I have an airbrush if that helps anyone to help me! Thank You everyone in advance!

I dont know if this will help but, I made a bowling cake and for the lane (alley) i used a rusty brown with dark streaks and a basket weave tip alternating the boards different lengths, like wood planks

I realize that you won't have time to pull this off on such short notice...but I would do the wood court with an edible image of a wooden floor.

Brown will do it's own streaking if it's used fairly quickly after mixing. Here's a couple of cakes I did that with only the brown is much darker than you would want for a gym floor. You can kindof see the streaks in the pics. They were more noticable in person.

Here's 2 other suggestions:

1. Use the big icer tip to apply the "floor". Then lightly smooth with a sponge paint roller (Melvira Method). If you do it lightly you should have lines in the icing where the edges meet together. That should make the "board" look.

2. Do a FBCT. You could get a lot of color variation that way and still have streaks.
