In case, you didn't know this, when you order a package of KopyKake edible image sheets, you get access to the Kokykake Destop Decorator. You put in a code from the package and it allows you to use a program with your picture to add sayings (IE: Happy Birthday, etc...) and borders to your edible image.

I was very surprised when I got my sheets and the info was included on dolwnloading. Just thought I would share this info.

gmcakes--
You don't have to order from KopyKakes. I ordered my from Sugarcraft.com

The sheets are from Kopykake and has the code on the outside of the package. Sugarcraft carries them and since I had several things to order from them, I just got my sheets from them,

If you go to deco.uk.com, they have a wonderful edible artist software that you can download for free. It's great. I had downloaded the one from Kopykake but the Deco one does so much more. Just thought I would pass that along in case you'd like to check it out.

I got my frosting sheets from Walkersonline.com. They are a couple of dollars cheaper then KopyKake. Not a lot but a few bucks is a few bucks. They also have a code for the Desktop Decorator.

If you will put the sheet in the freezer for a few minutes (after it's printed) that may help it come loose better.

I tried that too. no cigar. the only thing that works is 1.) if the weather is cool and 2.) when i use a hot hair dryer on the back of it.

I have only used the Icing Images frosting sheets, and i know exactly what you mean, kjgjam22.

I find that I have this problem, when it is humid or when the sheets are very fresh (just ordered). It is like they have a high moisture content.

If the freezer thing doesn't work, you can try letting them sit out for about five to ten minutes while you prep your cake. Then rub the back of the paper on the edge of your counter top. (Think about like when you're trying to straighten out a dollar bill to put in a vending machine, same method.) It will help loosen the edges a bit, then they usually come off fairly easily.

Sometimes, you might even need to turn the image face down on a sheet of paper and peel the backing off VERY CAREFULLY, then you just have to lay another piece of paper on top, and flip it over to transfer onto the cake.

HTH!

Is the Icing Images sheet thinner than Kopycake? I have the KC variety pack, and I find them to be a little thick. Easy to get off, but then it seems to take a day or more for it to become one with the frosting. Otherwise, you have to cut the image to cut the cake (i.e. it is still ovbiously a sheet on top of the cake vs. being just part of the icing).

I also use the deco software and it's pretty good. Can't figure out how to orient a picture landscape. Could be because my printer won't print a wide sheet. I just end up looking at everything sideways.

I was unable to install Kopykake's desktop decorator...I made my own templates in Illustrator.

I order icing sheets from Icing Magic, because they are cheaper, free shipping, no tax.

I have to order ink from KopyKake, though, b/c I have an epson...
