Hey everyone,

Any help with this would be great. I'm doiing a cake for this afternoon and realized I don't have enough mmf made. I don't have time to make a new batch, but I found some wrapped tightly and sealed in a container in my cupboard from a month ago, maybe two. Is it still good? It's just marshmallows and powdered sugar, so can it go bad? Any suggestions? Thanks.

I've used MMF that was over a month old with no problem. Just be careful if you 'nuke it so you dont burn yourself.

no mold?
no bad taste?

the fine

tho' it may be hard -- so like tammyH said...nuke carefully and gently

then i'd knead it into the fresher batch very very well.

MMF will keep at least 6 months if it is tightly wrapped and sealed in a ziplock or or tight sealing container. Just warm in the microwave to make it soft enough to knead.

I would taste it. If it doesn't taste bad or smell bad then noone has to know but you. I have had some keep for a long time and some not keep for 2 weeks. It all depends on how it is stored.
