Another Cake!

This cake was ordered yesterday from my boss at work for her mom. It's a white cake with flaked coconut. I want to thank dsoutherngirl and Ksue because this was kinda a combination of their cakes.

What do you think of the banner? If it doesn't look right I can take it off, I don't deliver until tomorrow.

Your cake is very pretty and spring like. I think the inscription is nice. Is the banner 2 toned? THe end portions look kinda orange?

Wow! Beautiful cake! You did a great job. I didn't think you could do anything with a coconut cake, but you made it look BEAUTIFUL!

That's beautiful - your roses are gorgeous! And I'm with heiser73 -- I didn't think you could decorate a coconut cake either -- but you sure did! Very nice, and I like the banner. I'm sure the lady will fall in love with it.

It's beautiful. I love the roses. Leave the banner - it is a nice touch. I think your boss' mom will love it!

Thanks, yes the banner is two-toned. I dusted the whole thing in gold and then went over the ends with shrimp. I love the luster dusts also. Oh, this was my first time making fondant roses. I used the same technique as the tootsie roll ones.

If you don't get a raise out of this, I'll be shocked! The roses are beautiful. I love the colors. And the two-toned leaves really highlight the roses.
