Help! The edges of my gum paste flowers keep cracking-what do I do to keep this from happening?

You might trying kneading a tiny dab of Crisco into your gumpaste. Or you may be rolling the paste too thin when you use the ball tip on the edges of the petals.

Your gum paste is too dry. Try the crisco or try the eatable glue: gum Tragancanth (sp?) mixed with water. Both methods will work well.

Thanks so much for your advice! I used the Crisco and they came out with NO cracks. To think I've been struggling with this for a week and all I needed was Crisco..... icon_redface.gif
