I buy the cupcake trays from Walmart to transport. They sell them in the bakery for $1 each & hold 1dz. You are going to need a substantial amount for that many, but you can add them into the price if needed or only leave so many behind. I love them because I can reuse them.

I'm not sure where you live, but my local Safeway sold me these containers (one dozen cupcake size) for 50 cents each. Try some of the grocery stores in your area.

Hi!

Here's a picture of the cupcake container. It's 3 1/2 inches high, so if you add a mound of frosting to the cupcakes, they won't get smashed. The four spikes in the lid help too icon_smile.gif

I just saw a great tip in Ladycakes.com for transporting cupcakes.
She used a sheet of styrofoam and stuck toothpicks into it and skewered the cupcakes onto them. Keeps them from sliding and bumping into each other. You can use any size sheet of styrofoam for the amount of cc's I guess.

i have since been told of the toothpick method and may use that in the future when my carriers are no longer good to use.

Tell me more about this toothpick method....

I am going to do some research today... surely there has to be something available here in Australia... just think of all those big wedding cake places the really commercial ones they are really into cupcakes at the moment... I wonder how they do it. I will keep you posted if I find anything.
