Fondant Vs Mmf

Can someone please tell me the difference? I have only worked with the premade Wilton fondant.

You can do all the same things with mmf....tastes MUCH better and is more cost effective.

The major difference is in taste. Wilton stuff is - well - gross. The MMF is sweet, just like marshmallows. I think the MMF rolls out nicer. Mine tends to not dry out as hard as the Wilton stuff, but I think others have added something to the MMF to help it hold its shape for bows and figures and stuff like that. My friends really like the MMF - hate and peel off the Wilton stuff. I've used both and now only use MMF.

I only use the MMF as well - it tastes much better! You can add a bit of gum tex to it to make it harden up better.

Is MMF Marshmallow Cream Fondant? Is there a different MMF recipie for covering the cake and for making cut-out decorations?
