I was looking at different cake decorators on the web and found Mikes Amazing Cakes and they truly are amazing. I studied the bust he had of this older gentleman and I couldn't for the life of me figure out how he made it so perfect. Does anyone know this secret? It looks just like the person... Is it cake or just a portion of it cake? I am really baffled but think it is so cool. can anyone tell me how this is done? I would love to do one of my mother who just turned 89 years old and we are having a big family reunion. She would be tickled pink! Thanks in advance everyone.

I've seen Mike in action on different challenges-he's an amazing sculpter. Unless it has a piece that sticks out a lot (like a witch's nose or something) it is carved cake covered in fondant. I wish I had the talent he has in one pinky!!
