C.c. More Then Just A Cake Site.

Okkkkk, March 5th I posted a pic of my 1st. thing done with fondant,
notice over the pass few days ......no comments.
So I tell my 26 yr old daughter " Boy I must have done a pretty bad job on it (never working with fondant before, not knowing if it was bad, good, fair,ect.).
She said "why is that mom"? I said 40 some views and no one left a comment, guess they didn't want to hurt my feelings. Being a newbie, I didn't know I had to click Yes for people to comment 
.
We started laughing about it so hard I had tears.
C.C. is not only a place to get help, ask a question, learn all kinds of new things, a place to vent, a place to meet great and wonderful people, to see art from someone else's eyes, have a great laugh, but it is also a place where you can laugh with your daughter at your self while thinking you know your a red neck whennnnnn.
I couldn't agree with you more. After my mom passed away I really quit doing alot of things I liked, it was so unexpected. Then I remembered my mom and I always wanted to take cake decorating classes so I did so and found this wonderful site and now I am hooked, I can't get enough. I am always trying new things out on the husband and kids even my little beagle cravin gets to sample some cake. Everyone here is so talented, I love looking at all the pics, reading the helpful hints and being able to share some of my pics with other people.

Thank you Cookie for your sweet comment. I love your cakes, the pom poms on your hats look soooo real, and wish I would of had the trees at Christmas.
TJB22, so sorry about your Mother dear, but I bet with everycake you do she is right beside you with a smile on her face. I know where you are coming from when it comes to losing someone you love and you stop doing the things you once love to do.
Thank goodness for places like CC and the people in it! LOL as far as being hook to CC.....yeap same here, I have it on from the time I get up till the time I go to bed , my daughter calls it my fix . Now my daughter in law is hook to CC and is learning about decorating cakes. My grand daughter (soon to be 4) calls fondant (foam) and is learning all kinds of things in the kitchen about decorating.
And yes there so so many talened and helpful people here. What can I say, But I Love This Site!!!!!!
Well thank goodness for daughters, glad you clicked that "yes" button. I have seen that happen quite often, where someone's cake photo has been saved to favorites by 20 people with no comments. I usually pm the poster and ask them to go back and click to allow public comments. Once they do the the comments come flowing in. Now I am off to view your photos and see if I left a comment, and if I didn't, shame on me!

It is just so great how people here are so wonderful about helping each other out. I have learn things I know I would have never learn if it wasn't for C.C. and the great people in here.
