use the No Fail Sugar Cookie recipe to make a huge round cookie cake? I was thinking of rolling out the dough in a large round 10" or 12" pan but not sure if it will work.

Sorry, I have not tried that recipe. Let us know if it is good.

Agent, I didn't use the cake pan but the large cookie in my "grandma's baby show" was the size of a small bottom layer of a cake, and almost as thick. There were no problems with the NFSC recipe. Actally it was softer then the smaller cookie. Fully cooked with no trouble (if that is what you were wanting to know)

I don't think you will have a problem unless the pan is too deep.

Hope it helps a little.

I roll out as thick as usual and cut 8" cookies with my cake pans and have had no problems.

Great, thanks guys. I will definitely try it as a cookie cake the next time I get some free time.
