I have had a request for a bride that is allergic to milk and eggs. They are wanting a small cake just for her. The milk isn't a problem, but are there any decent recipes or ideas for an eggless cake? (Can't use egg beaters, either, I asked.) Thanks.

If you go to the recipe section here at CC, there's a whole section of eggless cakes. I haven't tried any of them, but several have ratings next to them from other CC members. Hope that helps.

I have made Vegan wedding cakes. What I did for the egg was to use the Ener-G brand egg replacer. I have used this in place of the eggs in my regular recipes. While doing research for this wedding cake, I also found out that one of DH cake mixes (white or yellow) are Vegan as well, so no milk or eggs.

Oh, I found the Ener-G egg replacer at a "natural food" store, Here we have Whole Food and Wild Oats.

Not sure about vanilla, but the "wacky cake" which is a chocolate cake without eggs or milk is a very moist and tasty cake, and if you didn't know it was a special recipe, you really wouldn't miss the real thing IMO.

I agree with Kitagrl, the chocolate wacky cake is a good cake.
