I have some gumpaste in my cake supply area. I need to use it to make some figurines, because I am all out of fondant. It is extremely hard. As in hard as a brick .. anything I can do to soften it?

I'm not sure but could you maybe microwave it for a few seconds like you can do with fondant?

the stuff I make is very very firm at first, but you knead it until it softens. if it is dry and hard an breaks or crumbles, usually it has dried out and then there is no saving it.

If it's completely dried out, I don't think there's anything you can do to make it work--sorry.
