I made mmf and let it set. Last night I took it out and unwrapped it and it was all crumbly. So I added some water and some crisco and now it still breaks apart and doesn't stretch it is just really really soft. What did I do wrong. I didn't do it to the whole batch so if there is some way to save the remaining hard crumbly stuff please let me know.

Did you try to microwave it for a few seconds to make it a little more manageable (the hard stuff?)

I would not add water to it. A little crisco maybe. Not a ton. What did it feel like last night? WAs the consistency good then?

Last night is when it would just fall apart. I will try to microwave the other stuff. SilverCat what did you do to fix yours? I did add the sugar rather quickly! icon_mad.gif

Try microwaving it and add two tsp of corn syrup. That really helps with pliability.
