Color Flow & Luster Or Sparkle Dust?

Can you paint dried color flow w/ luster or sparkle dust or will it break the color flow down? If now does anyone one what gel color combo to use to make silver?
i do it all the time....royal icing accents (or thinned = color flow basically)....i use lemon extract or vodka mixed with the luster dusts and paint it on with a brush. the alcohol evaporates so the dust dries way too quick for break down to be possible. at least half of my photos (most recent ones) have this technique on them if you need to see what they look like.
If you're really concerned about the sugar breaking down, you should use Everclear. The alcohol content is so much higher than Vodka. Vodka actually melts the powdered sugar, but Everclear does not. I didn't think anything of it until my cake supply store owner showed me two samples jars with vodka and everclear and some powdered sugar. The vodka was milky but liquid, and the everclear was actually liquid with powdered sugar floating at the bottom - not dissolved - like a snow globe. I'm a believer now! Also, for some reason, anytime I use black royal icing, it seems so much more fragile than any other color. The everclear made a big difference.
Hope this helps!
