I was reading some of the old posts and now I want Cali4dawn's buttercream recipe. I looked in the recipe section, but could not tell which one was hers. Everyone loves it and I want to try it tomorrow. Help!!

Thank you. Now maybe this is a silly question, but is it ok to use for icing a cake when you're not using a transfer? I looked at the article on how to do the transfer and am anxious to try it. I learned by using the gel.

That is the recipe I use for 90% of my cakes- regardless of the decorating technique.

If I'm making roses, I swap some of the butter for more shortening. Other than that... that is my recipe for standard icing.
