All I can say is that I'm so out of practice it's not funny. This is my first attempt ever at fondant roses so I welcome any constructive feedback. I tried to get my icing as smooth as possible. I didn't have the right paper towels so I just had to use wax paper. The border is horrible but I have not done a border in over 5 years, I'm very out of practice but it is fun and relaxing getting back into the borders. Thanks in advance for any feedback.

they are too thick you need to make them thiner, and also to push the petals apart so the look more open. you are getting there

Try making a thinner centre piece. And "bloom" them more. I also agree with trying to thin the petals more. It sounds funny but if you don't have the tools using the tapered end of an egg to thin the edges works great.

Thank you, I appreciate the feedback.

WOW. I just did another rose and followed your advice about making the petals thinner and it worked great. They look more real. Thanks again.
