Selling Over The Internet/ebay From Ca

Hi

We are looking into selling over the internet & on eBay. I have checked with eBay & we kind of have an idea what is needed to do that but I am not sure about the laws of selling over the internet. Does anyone know the CA laws or where to find out about them. Has anyone done it/ is doing it?

We have been working our butts off baking cookies for friends & families & we decided we wanted to start charging (one could go broke making loved ones cookies).

Thanks for any help.
