I just made a bunch of beautiful red puddles with colorflow for a cake this weekend. I want to turn them into ladybugs. What would you guys recommend for making dots and heads. I am going to be putting them on the cake along with real daisies. Thanks

You might want to try the black edible markers or black royal icing should work fine icon_smile.gif

I would probably do the dots and heads with colorflow also. Colorflow os fragile, so I wouldn't try to write with food writers on them. I think black colorflw would be your best bet.

I did these. I painted them with a paintbrush. I mixed vodka with some black food color. I drew a line 1/3 across and filled in the short part with black (for the head). Drew a perpendicular line down the body and added spots on each side. They looked reallly cute and were easy. Don't use too much food color though, or they won't dry.

Good luck!

I've painted on ColorFlow also. I thinned down the regular gel color with a little clear vanilla and painted it on with a paint brush. Just don't make it too watery and it will work just fine.

Thank you all. I will try the Vanilla and paint them. I don't have any vodka icon_surprised.gif)

I will post a picture when it is done and you can see how it turned out.
