I have no idea where to start and am VERY new to cake decorating. I've lookied in the gallery and they have two beautiful cakes in the theme I'm doing for my daughter's 1st birthday party (Hugs and stitches) but I have no idea how they do it. So, ideas? Tips?

Wow, those are some great cakes! Being a begginer I think I'd like to go fairly simple, I really liked this one

But I have no idea where to start! What size cake pan to use, what frosting to use, what size/shape tips, what colors?

Girlsmama,

If thats the one you like maybe you could pm tammiemarie, she may be able to tell you how she did it.
Or maybe you could ice with buttercream with fondant accents
Depends on how big a cake you need to what size pan.
I hope this helps a little.
