I have never seen black, I always buy the dark brown ones and if it really needs to be black then I add black candy color. It still takes a lot and it will make the candy taste a little weird. They do make red candy melts and they are great!

I've never seen any. Last weekend I tried making black from dark chocolate candy melts. I finished the whole bottle of black and it just turned to a very dark brown color. What a waste of money!

I finished my first chocolate transfer, and it needed black outlining and I just used the dark chocolate and it worked fine. I have yet to see black, but check the net...it seems you can get just about anything!!! icon_lol.gif

In some cake supply stores, they do have the chocolate writing pens that come in various colors, including black. I use it all the time. I think they are by Kitchen Crafts.

I did a web hit for black candy melts and it kept populating Wilton's method for black. Mix red and blue together....

I never tried it because I never had true blue melts in the house but it may be worth a try...

Hope this helps. icon_smile.gif

How big of a hole is in the tube? Approximately what tip size would you say it would be? Can you get really fine lines?

I did some hello kitty choc transfers and for the black, I just used dark chocolate chips and put some black candy color in it. It looked pretty black to me. It's in my pics.
