I am looking into new things to cover cake boards with.

Fancifoil is too expesive and confining. I don't really like the way it looks

I was using contact paper but read that it isn't label for food safety.

Fondant is kind of a waste to me for a simply decorated BC cake.

But I know that I read someplace on here that someonoe uses something else. It is some other kind of paper that is cheap and food safe....WHAT IS it????? I can't remember! Thanks!

I like to use the disposable plastic table clothes, the ones you can get from Party City, etc... They come in every color you can imagine and are so cheap.

I use gift wrapping paper. The foils are great, and if you need coordinating paper for the party, just cover the paper with clear plastic and the icing wont ruin the paper.
