I haven't tried this combo, but I frequently add pudding mix to cake mixes. You can add the instant pudding mix and one extra egg to your cake mix. I usually use French Vanilla pudding with my French Vanilla cake, but the cheesecake sounds great!! I also substitute milk for the water in the recipe to make it a little richer. Let us know how it comes out!

Thank you I didnt know if just 1 extra egg or needed to increase water or milk. She did say she used French Vanilla cake mix though and thought it to be better then the White Almond cake.

I like them both, but the French Vanilla is easier for me. No need to add extra liquid, just the extra egg... You'll never go back, I LOVE adding pudding.

Here's the mix I use. You can do the Fr. Van. with the Cheesecake pudding mix if you want.

1 Box Cake Mix (any flavor, French Van.)
1 small Box INSTANT Pudding (do not use the cook and serve) -
French Van. is yummy!
1 ¼ cups water
½ cup vegetable oil
4 eggs

Oven at 350 degrees.
Mix all ingred. Together at medium speed for 3 minutes (2 minutes with the stand-up mixer).
Bake for about 30-60minutes. Done when toothpick inserted comes out "JUST" clean. Remove from pan onto tin foil and IMMEDIATELY wrap and put into freezer. Can be frozen for a few months.
Pull from the freezer. Remove tin foil and IMMEDIATELY ice the cake. This will lock in the moisture. Some condensation on the top of the iced cake is normal, just leave it, the water will absorb. DO NOT try and wipe it off!!!
Eat and enjoy!!

EASY FILLING
3 containers snack pack puddings (comes in 4 pack) Vanilla or choc
½ box dry instant pudding Van. or Choc.

Mix well, will be very thick!!! Can add more pudding if you want it thinner. Add to middle of cake once you make your icing dam. If you buy vanilla snack pack pudding you should use vanilla instant pudding mix.

I learned it here to add a box of pudding and an extra egg to all my mixes, vanilla or chocolate. They come out great!

Will this cake need refrigeration if you use filling since the snack pack doesnt?

I would definitely refrigerate it just to be on the safe side however the last cake I did I forgot that I used a filling and didnt refrig. it and it was fine (no one got sick!) But I would fridge it! It's really yummy and easy, almost like a thick custard and it does not absorb into the cake like the snack pack by itself would.
