I have spent a couple of weeks designing my hubby's birthday cake in my head and started baking the cake last night...then he says..."Anyway you canmake the CHOCOLATE BC?" icon_confused.gif

NO...it toally messes up my design...unless I cover it in fondant, which would look better anyway...but I don't have enough marshmallows...the store is 25 minutes away...
I dont know what to do...

My question is: Does anyone have a yummy crusting chocolate BC recipe they can recommend???? I saw the ones in the recipe section and found one that I think will work, but I wanted some imput from you all first. Thanks!

Hey Monika, I use the Wiltons Class BC but add the 3/4 cup cocoa powder and a little extra vanilla and water to thin it down. I really like it and it crusts great. I'm not a super fan of the class BC in vanilla, but Chocolate is mmm Good thumbs_up.gif And I definately consider myself a Chocolate snob icon_razz.gificon_biggrin.gif

I also use the Wilton BC, half butter, half Crisco and add 3/4 cup of cocoa. I use milk as the liquid and add a little extra. I'm not that fond of chocolate BC, but my mom says it tastes like fudge. It crusts great!
