i never thought of microwaving the fondant for 10 seconds to make it easier to work with.

I clicked on the link and ended up watching anothr video, I'm still in shock icon_surprised.gif I have been making my roses BACKWARDS icon_eek.gif Now I know why they never looked right, all this time they were backwards.

I clicked on the link you put on the post. There were other videos of cake decorating I clicked on one and they showed how to make a rose. Only they went towards you I always went away with the tip.

Im glad you like it, takes away the fear of fondant that so many people has in CC,
I never did buttercream cakes, I learned fondant first and I find it easier then buttercream, just because all the crumbs and imperfection in BC are cover with fondant.
And about the taste, I think is not that bad, it's more of a cultural thing, here in Venezuela were al decorated cakes are fondant, people loves it. The more fondant cakes you make the more people will begin to like it
