Hey fellow CCers!!!!
I am the wedding coordinator for a wedding in Alexandria,VA on September 29, 2007 and am looking for someone to do a tasting! I don't know any details about what she will be wanting, but I know that the MOTB is big on taste, so probably not fondant, and I am going to suggest a simple buttercream frosted stacked cake so we can use calla lillies, her flower to decorate. Thanks alot for any responses!

Well, I am still in the process of getting my business legal and started but should definitely be up and running by September. My first wedding will be in July. Anyway, I do have the capability but I definitely am a newbie to the wedding cake business. If you/she wants to contact me my e-mail is [email protected]. Oh and I live in Ashburn, which is near the Dulles Airport.
I live in between Martinsburg and Hagerstown, which is a little farther, but I've been doing wedding cakes for several years. I do charge delivery for that far (it takes me about 2 hrs) but my cakes are really yummy... Have you checked with The Sweet Life? They're probably expensive, but Norm and Zane do an indredible job and they're in Alexandria.
My DH travels to Falls Church every day for work, but we live 2 hours away.
I should also be licensed by then, but am not as of yet.
My cakes have a homestyle taste and I work mainly with BC. I would definately charge for delivery.
I'm currently getting my business legal as well. I live in southern Md. I've done one wedding, (my photos). I have another in April.
Alexandria isn't too far, about 30min.
