Hi, just wondering if it's me and/or my computer...it seems like it takes for-e-ver to load photos, sometimes my computer even times out trying to load them. Is this normal? Thanks!

well its been the norm for me lately .. sorry if this post upsets anyone, I know there are a lot of people using this site daily, but unfortunately I spend most of my time reading posts because the photo gallery just simply takes to long .. icon_sad.gif

Me too.

I would love to leave comments on all your beautiful cakes but it just takes too long and I have cable.

3pm is the worse, I think too many people enjoying CC at the same time.

Now, 3am is good.

I found when I posted my last pictures they were uploaded faster when I sized them with the "best for web" feature on my Kodak EasyShare. Don't know for sure, but maybe the byte size of the pictures has something to do with it as well as the volume of people. Also, someone on another thread said that brides surf the wedding cake gallery a lot and it is that time of year.

This probably is a high traffic time. I was also thinking some of it might be the amount of pictures on the site. When you click on newest photos added to the gallery, in no particular album, there's almost three thousand pages of pictures. Maybe some of these older pictures could be archived? Still searchable and viewable, but in a more condensed version out of every day use? Just thoughts icon_razz.gif

Heath and Jackie have stated that the number of pictures is not a problem. There are other reasons for the slowness of the site. Read the donate to Cake Central threads for more info!
