I have some in my freezer that I put in there back in Sept. I also put a piece of seran wrap over the top and then put the lid on. Also, remember that if you use water or milk when you make it. Milk=dairy if you leave out. Best to put in fridge. If I am not going to use in a few days, I wrap it up an put in freezer for later. Let it thaw on the counter if using right away or in the fridge. icon_biggrin.gif

Thanks. I actually decided to make mine with water because, even after it's on the cake, I didn't want to worry so much about it nedding to be in the fridge. Does the texture change after it is frozen and then thawed? Do you just use the mixer on it for a little while before you use it (after it thaws of course)? Everyone on here is always so much help - I have a lot of questions.

you do not need to refriderate a cake with buttercream unless the filling needs it... The frosting will last several days longer than the cake will last.
