Is the sugar listed confectioners or granulated?

Hi and Welcome to CC!!

When you make a buttercream you will use confectioners sugar. I use 4 or 10x and sift. Some people don't sift but I think it does make a difference. When I make wc bc I replace some of the crisco for the amount of white chocolate.

If your looking at the recipe I submitted it is regular sugar, which you will dissolve in the egg whites over the bain marie
