Cake Decorating Edible Image Printer Help

Hi, I am opening a bakery in a few months and I was wondering if anyone would happen to know what is the best printer(either Canon or Epson) to buy for printing edible image designs? If you have a model number that would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
Hi Doughboy1993,
Welcome to CC ![]()
I have the Epson CX3810 and love it. Here is a link to Kopykake
http://www.kopykake.com/
I liked my Canon i560s (really old) and my Canon ip3000 until both print heads bit the dust. The i560 was within a year and the ip3000 just over a year. I used them often, so it wasn't a matter of them sitting too long. I literally just finished installing my new Epson C88, so I will post how that prints. Hopefully this will last much longer than the Canons. I have an Epson RX500 All-in-one as my normal printer and have had that for awhile now. I have had pleasant experiences with the Epsons for every day use (I have had a number of them--upgrades).
And check the FAQ on the kopy kake link that stephanie posted--lots of good info.
Okay, just made my first print out of the C88. I used a sample that had a lot of problem colors--red and orange in particular. OMG!!! it came out perfect and NO color adjustment! I constantly had to adjust the red on my Canon in order for it to turn out decent. Already, I love my new printer! ![]()
