I always use buttercream because it's so easy to work with, but I'm doing a cloud cake, and want to ice it in a whipped cream icing, I'm making it late tonight and it needs to hold up at least until tomorrow afternoon, it will be refrigerated until the party. Could someone give me their best most dependable whipped cream icing recipe. Thanks to everyone.

Hi Sarah! I wish I had seen this earlier but I just got the laptop back home from dh. I love, love, love the Wilton stabilized wc recipe. It holds up great. I have been able to even make borders, drapes and some rosettes with it and it takes color well too. I had a practice cake that was left in the fridge for about 4 days and it looked as good as when I had put it in.

I use regular vanilla and don't really notice a color difference. I also add just a bit of regular sugar too because I like mine a little sweeter.

I also use the Wilton's recipe, and like dodibug, I also add a little sugar. Easy and delicious!
