How can you find out what wilton pans are retired. I have been on e-bay doing some research. However, I was wondering if there is an official website.

There is no official site that shows or states which pans are retired but there is a book out of cakepans ...mostly wilton and others called:

The Collectors book of Novelty Pans by Jeanne Gibbs. It can be found on ebay for about $20.00

Most of us who do alot of character cake know which is retired or not!You can also tell by the final auction prices on the retired pans as they are outrageous. The Star Wars pans right now are going for as high as $65.00 each at times!! Ouch!!!

I may be wrong here, but my assumption is that all of Wilton's Current pans can be found on their site or in their yearbook. If it isn't in their current year book (and it isn't a new pan) then it is a pan that they have discontinued and are no long making.

The book my Jeanne Gibbs is a great book that has alot of infromation about pans. Do keep in mind that it is a few years old now, so there may be some new retired pans that are not listed in it.
