Please help!!! How do I keep the cups that hold my cupcakes from turning colors when I bake them? icon_cry.gif

Hmm, I don't think I've ever had mine turn colors. What kind are you using?

I usually don't buy fancy cupcake liners, simply because the design is so hard to see once the cupcake bakes. You could slip the baked cupcakes into new liners, or attach strips of colored paper (crepe paper maybe?) around the cupcake.

I am using wilton birthday cupcake cups. They had cute little designs on them. I think that it is just a lost cause, but I appreciate the feedback. When I use solid color cups they came out fine.

I have the same problem when I use liners with designs. Any input is appreciated.

Thanks

I thought about this last time I did cupcakes..... maybe try using two liners? Don't know if it would work. I tried putting the cupcake into a second liner after I baked them, but the outside cup didn't fit snugly to the first liner. You could always spend a fortune on the cute silicone colored liners. icon_sad.gif

I would try using a white liner for the cupcake and either slip the fancy ones on when the cupcakes are done or slip the white liner inside the fancy one before you bake the cupcakes. I think the fancy ones have more wax in them and they do discolor--the Wilton ones at least I haven't had problems with other brands.
