Hey, sounds like a Buddy Holly song! icon_biggrin.gif

Oh, Nelson Eddy.... I had such a crush on him, watching old reruns of his movies. He was in a (slightly comical) remake of Phantom of the Opera with Claude Rains, plus a lot of other musicals including I Married An Angel and my personal favorite, Maytime.

Hmmm..... If Food Network can do a cake challenge for Elvis, can we do one for Nelson? LOL! Lots of cakes that look like Canadian Mounties! thumbs_up.gif

The music in Maytime was really nice, wasn't it? I think I have watched all of the movies with my mother, she forced me to, haha! And she knew all the words to all of the songs too and would sing them, she had a really good voice. But as a teenager, she drove me nuts with those songs, haha!
Heavens, Mountie cakes, oh no, haha!
Hugs Squirrelly

I am soooooo lost and confused! LOL I have no clue who or what y'all are talking about!!! icon_biggrin.gif

Okay, Susan and Squirrelly, meet at my house for a Nelson Eddy filmfest!

I'll bring the popcorn! icon_biggrin.gif

Heehee, I'm imagining Mike McCarey's matador cake as a mountie with wavy blonde hair, and a little tape recorder hidden somewhere in the cake so it can play music.
