I am doing my SIL baby shower cake in April, and am having a hard time figuring what to do. I want round tiers, and I want it pink. I purchased a crystal baby carraige (it's about 3" high) and a silver and pink crystal pacifier (about 1 1/2" long). I also want to make baby booties out of fondant. I guess my question is how do I put these on the cake without it looking to busy?? It only needs to serve 50 people but it doesn't matter if I make more cake than that. I just want it to look good. Thanks in Advance icon_smile.gif

How about doing tiered cakes? You can do a 6 inch and put the carriage on top.

On the 8 inch you can put the pacifier.

On the 10 inch you can put the fondant shoes. I would have pretty flowers near these so as to blend the colors and theme.

That's a REALLY pretty idea Naty!

Another idea is to do the cakes so they're stacked, but flush on one side and have the carriage at the top, the shoe or pacifier next, etc.

I agree with Rachel. Flushed will be a better idea!

Flush so it kind of looks like steps? Thanks for the ideas! I hope I can do them justice. I'll post pics and let you know icon_smile.gif

Foxy,

I think the steps would be your best bet. You can then put your main cake top on and use the steps for your other decorations. Post a pic so we can all see it.
