What is the best web site to order Impression mats from?

I'm wanting to get a Diamond mat...I noticed there are size differences, which one would be the best all around size to buy?

I may buy a few other Impression mat patterns, which ones would be the most popular and I would use the most?

Thanks in Advance, Mary birthday.gif

PS.. and any tips on how to use them to get the best results would be highly appreciated as well icon_smile.gif

Just order mine this week. Needed the diamond and got dots and lines too alonf with some lace mats. Tried out cakesbysam but the website was not working right and you could not check out. I went with earlene instead, they were both the same price @ $5 a mat. Will let you know when I try them out.

I just bought a few from cakesbysam.com yesterday. I bought the diamond, brick, wood and cobblestone. I think I would use those the most. Cobblestone for castles and wood for ships and stuff like that. I don't think Earlene's had all those. Let us know if you order any!

There is a place called ABC Baking Supply in Phoenix, AZ that I visited on vacation. I bought a whole set of impression mats that had cobblestone, wood, diamond, dots, lines pretty cheap & I can't remember the exact price. I know you can order from them & they will ship. Their prices are much cheaper than anywhere I've found here in Houston. I've tried the mats & they're great

Ugh - ABC cakes isn't as good as Christy's Cake Supplies in Arizona - and she ships too. She's so much friendlier...

Sorry - i've had bad experiences at ABC's.

to each their own "mrsright" - I've had nothing but great experiences with ABC. I don't think they have a website but their phone number is 602-224-9796. I have ordered from them & they ship right away. Good luck!

These are called Rubbing Plates but I use them exactly as you would Impression mats and the variety of patterns is almost endless, click on each thumbnail and then on the package to see what patterns are in each. Great designs.

And then we have Chocolate textures sheets, not the same as transfer sheets, These are sturdy pieces of clear plastic imprinted with a pattern. I also use them for Impression mats, but I did the pink chocolate purse using their Crocodile skin pattern. I love these because they are large, there are 5 sheets of the same pattern in each package. You can use them for chocolate wraps on cakes as well. When you are making something like the gumpaste or fondant castle towers and you only need a small imprint you can just cut one of these to size.
