My niece has asked if I would do her high school graduation cake since I'm getting back into decorating a little bit. I want to do something kind of different. I don't want just a plain sheet cake with a grad on top or anything that they can get at a grocery store. Help!

I asked what flavors and how many people and what colors she likes and to let me do the rest! I can't wait!!! Good luck put me in your buddies list so we can talk about these cakes later!

Hey gals, I have a couple grad cakes in my photos or on my website that aren't the generic kind. One features stripes, the other polka dots...have fun!

Years ago, when my sister graduated high school, my mom and I made her cake. From what I remember, it was a square tiered cake, and each step represented something from her "growing up". Like the bottom tier had little toys and little kid objects; the middle tier had a little makeup kit, and study books opened, etc., the top tier had a graduation scroll and that hat you wear (mortarboard?), with some flowers.

I hadn't thought of that cake in years! Thanks for the memory.
