Rollable cake icing? I have a brochure for it and it sounds great but don't want to buy a bucket if it's not worth it? Any feedback from anyone?

I have used Satin Ice fondant many times. I love it and the taste is good. They now have it available in colors. I used the red for roses and it was MUCH better than trying to color my own fondant. It is a bit sticky though so you may need to add some powder sugar or something. icon_smile.gif

I just used it for my first fondant wedding cake. I liked it a lot except for some bubbles that appeared while I was rolling it out. Just pop them with a toothpick and keep going. It tastes very good and is easy to use.

I used it because I read a lot of good things about it here. Have you tried a forum search on "Satinice" for previous discussions?

I used it once, but seemed to sticky and soft for me...It tastes good and I think thats what Ron Ben Israel uses....I've stuck to Pettinice...there is a difference...just don't know what it is...I'll do research and let you in on it icon_wink.gif

I would be interested in the difference in Pettinice and Satin Ice also. I have used Pettinice and it works well. The taste isn't wonderful but much better than Wiltons. I have made my own and it works well and tastes OK also, but a lot more work. MM fondant seems to be the most popular on this web site. Is it as easy to work with, ETC.
Just curious! Satin Ice fondant isn't available in my area except by mail order or internet.
