ge978, I think it is a wonderful cake, and on Mon. you had no idea what to do. The wedding party loved it and just remember that is what counts. If they liked it that means lots of good word of mouth advertisement for you. They tought they were getting a plain white simple cake. You did a good job
Thank you kaecakes...I had a hard time remembering that they ordered a plain white simple cake when I was working on it last night...in my tired sleep deprived head she ordered a two-tiered, perfectly iced & decorated cake with roses & ribbons ![]()
I had to keep reminding myself that the only person who expected this perfectly decorated cake was me...I'm just hoping that the good word of mouth brings birthday and not wedding cakes - at least not for awhile ![]()
Subaru..thank you for your compliments ( I hope it doesn't sound like I'm fishing for them
)- I just don't enjoy doing the wedding cakes as much as the others..I guess its a combination of the stress to make it perfect and the constant worrying if the bride, guests, etc. will like it. It kind of consumes and outweighs the enjoyment I get from making cakes. I feel kind of silly admitting that especially because alot of times the goal for a cake decorator is to get wedding cakes not turn them down. I think I'm just at that point where I need to decide if cake decorating is really what I want to be doing or if I want to follow a different path.
Okay, now I'm rambling.. ![]()
