Since I can't contain my excitement, I have told plenty of you..whoever would listen that I was spending this week at Bonnie Gordon's school in Toronto..a big adventure..staying in hotel, going to school, meeting CC friend!
First, the school experience was WAY beyond my expectations (and they were pretty high)
Secondly, one of the courses I took was baking and buttercream and now I am a converted to SMBC and scratch cakes!!! I couldn't believe the difference in taste for me!!! It was a very hands on time as I was fortunate to have some private lessons and made SMBC and we learned to ice our cakes with it....and I LOVE that buttery flavour...we had some raspberry and passionfruit and also chocolate hazelnut as well as the vanilla. Since I couldn't take all my cakes home, I shared it with the ladies who were cleaning at the hotel...they LOVED it!!!!
I was in heaven...good thing my hotel was a 40 minute walk from her school!
Anyhow, I have had a most thrilling cake week and was so fortunate to be able to go to her school...I took all 3 Wilton courses and the Wilton Gumpaste course but this was on a whole different level...fantastic!!!

SMBC will also save your wrists! I had to pipe red lace on a bra today and my wrist is killing me...doesn't happen when I use my silky, buttery SMBC!
and in my house we call that the "good Icing"..it's like having some French Vanilla ice cream on the cake!
I'm a huge fan or IMBC....I love how buttery and it just melt in your mouth. I especially like the fact that there is no 10X feeling to it. YUMMY!! I'm glad that you enjoyed yourself!
