I've seen photos of cakes topped with a painted gumpaste cup & saucer or gumpaste teapot. Does anyone know how to do this, or knows of a book that has how-to instructions? Thanks!

the teacup in my pictures I made by wrapping a strip of gumpaste around a cylinder shape & let it dry, I then made a saucer, by cutting out a round shape & letting it dry in a real saucer to get the shape.

Another way of doing a cup is to use a real cup, dust it with cornflour. Take a ball of gumpaste and slowly work it on the inside of the cup, until the inside is covered. Let it dry in the cup, shaking it out every hour or so to prevent it sticking.

Here's a link that I found right here on CC. If you click on the picture of the cup and saucer it gives detail instructions. I haven't tried it however looks like something I would give a try in the future.
