with winter wonderland I always think baby blue with snowflakes.... but if you wanted to do transfer type I can see snowflakes being a transfer too.
I would have said something with Jesus but since it's just a dance and not Christmas related then I still go to my above...
I'm sorry if I didnt help you....I need more coffee I guess. ![]()
Since it is a Christian School Dance I think something referring to Jesus (even without it being Christmas) would be quite appropriate. And I love the idea of the baby blue and snowflakes. You could have a transfer of Praying hands surrounded by a white border. Then the rest of the cake could be baby blue with white snowflakes and a white border. I think that would be very pretty ![]()

I LOVE THAT IDEA...
Thanks, I might go with the baby blue background, snowflakes, and maybe their school logo (lions with a shield) in the middle?? Im still not sure on that, but there's alot of empty room on a cake of thay size. When I searched winter wonderland it's mostly iglos and penguins. Thanks Marilyn
winter images
skaters on a pond
a sleigh ride
a white castle w/ snow on the turrets on a snow covered trees and maybe a ice-covered lake
snow-covered fir trees w/ little birds and animals around
and since they're the "lions" well that opens up a whole Chronicles of Narnia theme.... which opens in a winter wonderland....the lamp post, Mr. Tumnis, Aslan, Peter/Lucy/Michael/Susan, the wardrobe
could put the wardrobe to the left with the children peaking in and then would come the lamp post and it could be a panorama that would end at the right with a castle. Lots of snow-covered trees, edible glitter for sprakle.
edited for one of the two banes of my existence: grammar (the other being spelling)
I don't know why I didn't come up with any of that, I just drew a blank.
considering the time of your post....it's a wonder anyone, let alone you, can think of anything.
"good morning" -- now there's an oxymoron if I ever heard one! (I prefer Garfield's response: "I'm in mourning." while clutching my coffee up and still in my pajamas)
one more thought (from the duh! why didn't I think of that earlier seeing as how I'm a HS teacher who was a prom advisor once -- and only once -- never again!!!!)
you might ask if they are using one the decorating kits from one of the big prom supply houses (Stumps, PromNite, Andersons, etc.).
if they are, you might be able to match the theme of their decorations.
(the time of the post may be after noon...but the brain still feels like its back in bed)
Doug, you crack me up! ![]()
I would also suggest if you have the Whimsical Bakehouse book, they have a cute cake in there with the blue and white, and also a snowman and trees. It's very cute! HTH! ![]()
