Hi everyone: Just found this site......Love it!
I am making a large sheet cake for my Daughter's 40th birthday Party and would like to decorate it with a Picses theme. How can I make the icing look like water, with ripples or a splash effect where the fish will be? Even more important, how can I make a fish? Simplicity is the way for me. I don't want elaborate here, just simple lines, but so that it looks like a fish in water. Any tips anyone can offer will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance, Karen

my advice is to use piping gel tinted to look like water, and then put it where you want it. I have enclosed a picture of what it looks like, only its on an Indian project that my 7 year old son did for school...

or you can do something like this link has with the color spray

Thank you for the tips, flayvrdfun.....I will experiment first. If you made the cake with the fish in the water, it's fabulous!!! And the link is great for ideas! Karen

I have always swirls sky blue and white frosting together for water. An easy way to go on the fish would be to use a chocolate mold. I have seen a fish mold at hobby lobby in the cake decorating section. They also sell different colors of candy melts. Good luck! icon_smile.gif
