I have decided to make this cake for a bday party tomorrow since I hear such rave reviews. Problem - were expecting a huge snow storm so I can't get out and all the stores around me are closed.

I have homemade strawberry preserves, vanilla pudding, chocolate pudding, lemon pudding. I don't have rasberry preserves our I would of made the rasberry mousse. Any help with a great filling would be appreciated. Cake due tomorrow so I need to make tonight. Thanks icon_smile.gif

Any and all of those would be a great filling for the WASC cake.....make a mousse with the puddings and use 2 cups whipping cream instead of milk (that is if you have it on hand or don't mind trudging thru a blizzard icon_lol.gif ) I use jams and preserves in my cake all the time as a filling....strawberry sounds awesome right now!! icon_rolleyes.gif

sunlover00 - White Almond Sour Cream Cake - Sorry I didn't put this in the post.

Eme - so could I use vanilla pudding and the strawberry preserves together like the rasberry mousse? I do have heavy cream, so no trudging thru snow for me!! icon_biggrin.gif

Like trudging thru the snow is that easy! We are in the middle of the storm you are about to get, so far we have over 14 inches in our backyard. More to come by morning! Good luck with your cake! The strawberry with pudding sounds wonderful! Have a blast!

aubrazacmom....Sorry I didn't get back to you sooner icon_sad.gif ! By the time I got home the site was down for maintenance. Yes, you could certainly use those two together...sounds quite good actually. I hope you were able to get everything finished and your cake is a hit! icon_biggrin.gificon_biggrin.gificon_biggrin.gif

Yeah, snow is one of those fantasy things for us Californians. We have snow in the central valley about once a decade! icon_eek.gif Really thought we would get some this year, but Nooooo! My parents live in N. California tho' and just got 16" in about 12 hours icon_eek.gificon_eek.gificon_eek.gif WOW! Of course, its not during a time that I can go visit and get snowed in on a vacation or anything... icon_cry.gificon_lol.gificon_lol.gif Stay warm and Stay safe!! thumbs_up.gif
