Can You Use Butter For Rolled Buttercream?

Hi, I just tracked down the rolled buttercream recipie. I was wondering if I could use butter instead of the shortening. I'm new at decorating but am kind of a health freak 
and don't like to eat shortening or margarine. Any thoughts?

the thing about using butter is tho it tastes way better than shortening...it melts faster and easier than shortening.
