Hello everyone,
I have been asked to make a baby shower cake for a co-worker, but they have asked for Pastry Pride as the frosting. I was wondering though, can I put a buttercream transfer on a Pastry Pride frosted cake? Can other buttercream decorations also be placed on this frosting? Will the colors bleed? Thank you.

Pastry pride is a non dairy whip topping. It like whipping cream, great frosting but you can not do much with it. That has been my experience with it but that was a few years ago. Maybe some else can you a better answer. I just put buttercream flowers on mine.

Good luck

I use buttercream decorations all the time with the Bettercreme, which is the same thing as Pastry Pride. I haven't had any problems with bleeding, even with the Christmas Red decorations. I don't see why you couldn't do a buttercream transfer.
