Hey everyone!!!
Well this November my daughter and my niece are going to have a Quincenera together. BUT we have put a huge twist to this.. Being that they want it more of a "party". We are doing Hollywood Theme. Now heres the deal. I am going to make the biggest, baddest dummy cake. LOL I say this with so much pride.. BUT HONESTLY!!! I need to practice. Can any of you give me tips on the do's and don'ts of a dummy cake..I am planning on using Fondant. Also any and all designs will be highly needed!! I'm going to have sheet cakes in the back to serve during cake time. I want something that we can display through out the night. That is why I've decided to do a dummy cake for their Quince.. TIA!!!

Wrap the dummy cakes in saran wrap first. This way when the party is over you can dump the icing and reuse the dummy. Or you can practice some ideas before the party and not keep on buying dummy cakes.
