A.

It's got more contrast, not quite so overly pink. Good juxtaposition of solid surface and detail work.

Wow! Very impressive, both choices! I'm just ever so slightly more partial to A.

I like A!

But probably because it would have matched perfectly the nursery I decorated for my daughter...

I like plan B, which is less intense on the pink and still very frilly and pretty. I would put the booties on top of it to make it more babyish. your design/sketching skills are admirable!

At first, I love Plan A. Then someone mentioned Top A and Bottom B and I love that even more!

I like A better. More formal, but does kinda remind me of a wedding cake. A beautiful design!!!

Wow! I had no idea I'd get so many responses! I almost feel obligated to all of you to make BOTH cakes! LOL I sent the pics of the sketches to the customer and asked her if she had a preference, she's supposed to get back to me today. From her initial reaction, I'm guessing she's going to want top of A with bottom of B. I'll be sure to post a pic when I'm done! icon_smile.gif Thank you all so much for your opinions and encouragement!!

since you mentioned it would be a more formal occasion, i would go with plan A, but definitely save your plan b for another one!!

TAH-DAH!
I finally have a finished product! icon_smile.gif Thank you again to everyone for your input on this cake design! As you can see, the customer opted for top of A, bottom of B. I'm a little off from my sketches, but I'm crediting my artistic license! LOL
