I'm sure there are more than one way(recipe) for royal icing.

I have used the one by wilton...does anyone know of a better one?

Antonia74's is GREAT!! Look in the Articles section for the article "How to Make (or Bake) and Decorate Cookies" - it's in that article/tutorial. It's a really easy recipe to make & work with. icon_smile.gif

Try the CK brand, it comes in a bag and you just add water...it's great and cheap $2.29 for a 1 lb bag.

Please excuse this silly question, but what is CK brand? It probably should be obvious but I just can't think of anything that starts with C & K. icon_confused.gif

That's the name on the bag. I purchased it from the cake supply store.

They also due gumpaste.

Oh! That could explain why I don't remember ever seeing it. I get most of my supplies at Walmart! icon_razz.gif Convenient, I guess. The cake supply store is really out of my normal stomping grounds. Does Michaels carry it?

Michael's won't carry CK products! They only carry Wilton. I've only seen CK products in cake decorating supply stores, that's where I buy mine. You can find the products online I would imagine. I've never done a search for some though.
