I have been asked to make a grooms cake. His theme will be either a Miller Lite Beer Cake or a bride and groom ridding on a motorcycle to the church. The wedding is not until April. I need some ideas and directions for these two cakes so I can show them.
Thanks in advance

Here is a Budweiser cake I did a few years ago. Sorry about the crazy camera angle. It's just round layers split and stacked on their sides. I also have a similar one with a coke can in my gallery.

Thanks! Gaut asked me for instructions so I thought I would share with everyone. Bake round layers, level them and cut them in half. Lay the cut sides on the board and stack with icing in between each layer. The size and number are up to you depending on how many people you are serving.

I do a light crumb coat first since the layers are generally uneven and lumpy. You can ice it with buttercream or fondant.

For the label you have a few options:
-I drew with piping gel, but you could do it by cutting fondant shapes, buttercream patted smooth, airbrush.....etc
-I use a projector. The sides get kind of distorted, but you just have to adjust the best way you can.
-You may be able to print edible images for the main areas and free hand the rest.
-You could also print it on regular paper the correct size. Lay it on the icing and use a straight pin to make a hole through the paper and into the icing. Follow the lines making a hole every 1/4 inch or so. Use the holes as a guide to draw your picture. Be sure the icing has crusted some before you try this!

Just have fun with it! Don't forget the poptop!

I did a Miller can. I can't scan my pics right now but will try and get it up. I used 4 -12x3 inch pan. I used a card board inbetween , doweled and stacked them on top of each other. I under baked the top cake scooped out all the mess and baked it more to dry it up a little. This gave the effect of the can on top being slightly indented like it is. I used luster dust to paint the silver and made a tab also. I traced the logo onto acetate paper and cut it out, traced it with a toohpick onto buttercream. You could do the same with fondant if you like. I hope to have some pics scanned by the end of the week.

I was trying to think of an idea for the bride and groom on a motorcycle, but at the moment I have an image of a bride Barbie on the back of Ken's motorcycle. (Don't know if he actually even has one, but that's what is in my head now.) If I come up with anything clever I'll let you know. LOL
