It seems like every day I have these great intentions of making cookies, cakes, etc. I really want to practice but all I do is get on my computer and spend all my time on CC icon_lol.gif I love this site but I need to remove myself from the computer any advice would be appreciated!!!!! icon_biggrin.gif

Does anyone else feel this way???

I have the same problem sometimes. The internet can be a great tool, and so can Cake Central, but neither should take the place of real life.

The only thing that works for me (and it doesn't always) is to set a computer time limit for myself. I also try to use computer time as a reward for finishing tasks. It can take over your life and your brain if you let it!

Nobody wants his/her obituary to read: He/she frittered away his/her life browsing the internet.

Moderation is a good thing! I'm trying to learn that. icon_smile.gif

I have to leave the computer off until I get my morning routine done, and then as my reward it goes on. Then I check my email, go to CC (setting my timer), then off goes the computer until after dinner. It bites but ya gotta do what ya gotta do! icon_biggrin.gif

I couldnt live without my computer I turn it on when I get up and it pretty much stays on unless I actually leave the house lol The time that I turn it off is when dh gets home for supper then once he goes to bed I'm back on. icon_lol.gif But I dont let it prevent me from getting my work done around the house or playing with the dog but I have pretty muche stopped my pleasure reading as well as my quilting which is really a shame because I really enjoyed them lol icon_rolleyes.gif hmmmm time to get looking through my books and boxex of odd material lol oh heck tomorrow is soon enough. icon_lol.gif

I have been home from work for the past 3 weeks recovering froma hysterectomy. CC has been my saving grace. I have been on here for the majority of the 3 weeks!! I love it. I am also on here every night when I do get home from work and sometimes in the morning before I leave for work and then during my breaks at work I am on here. Yes I do think someone should invent a patch for this kind of behavior!!!!

I try so hard to stay away but CC just keeps pulling me in!! icon_lol.gif I will walk bye and say oh I'll just check to see if there's anything new in this post - 5 hours later I might get up and check on my kids icon_wink.gif Just kidding but CC has become another one of my kids (constanly checking to make sure everythings ok, feeding the hunger, making boo boo's feel better, and giving a that boy/girl when needed, and getting a good laugh every now and then - holy cow I do have 4 kids) icon_lol.gif

Yeah, I didn't realize how addicted I was until my six year old mentioned it to me. It is so easy when you have wireless and you can surf anywhere!

I still need a lot of practice. You can take a look at my pictures and you'll see that is true. icon_smile.gif

I bake a cake at least once a week for someone. Sometimes, I'm making two a night. If I'm not baking, I'm getting ideas and tips on how to make the next cake better.

I tell my husband that I am doing research!
